Small Town Roots

DRESS: Ann Taylor (old), (Similar here) / BLAZER: J. Crew / NECKLACE: Zara (no longer available) / BAG: Michael Kors / SHOES: Ivanka Trump

Welcome to the Lawyer Lookbook!  I am so excited to finally join the blogosphere!  Since I grew up in a small Tennessee town, I thought it would be special to showcase my small town roots for my first post.

I grew up in Smyrna, Tennessee.  Smyrna, also known as “Tennessee’s Town”, is a cute little town right outside of Nashville.  These photos were taken at the historic train depot, which has recently been revitalized.  I have so many wonderful memories of attending community events at the depot.  There are several cute local cafés and shops nearby, including Carpe Café (my favorite café) and In Bloom Boutique (my favorite local boutique).  Also, at any given time, you can find local musicians performing at the depot.  One of the things I love the most about this small town is that everyone celebrates and supports all things local.

As far as what I’m wearing, I love this dress by Ann Taylor.  What I love the most is its effortless simplicity and ability to be styled with so many different accessories, in effect creating an entirely new look each time I wear it.  I usually pair it with this navy blue J.Crew schoolboy blazer, and this necklace by Zara.  However, it also looks very classy without a blazer, which means you get the best of both worlds.  It is without a doubt one of my go-to dresses for work, church, and networking events.

Thanks again for stopping by- I would love to hear your thoughts!  Have a great day!
