"Fancy Pants"

TURTLENECK: Express  /  PANTS: Banana Republic (no longer available, similar here) /  NECKLACE: Banana Republic  /  BAG: Michael Kors  / SHOES: Ivanka Trump

To begin, several readers have asked who takes all of my pictures.  My dad!  I have to brag on him for a minute because he has been so helpful throughout this process (both of my parents have).  Growing up, my parents never missed a ballet recital, athletic event, or elementary band concert (poor unfortunate souls!).  In fact, my Dad always had the camera handy, so I suppose all of that hard work has paid off (totally kidding).  We are definitely amateurs, but are having a lot of fun along the way!  :-)

For today’s look, I am wearing Banana Republic Sloan fit windowpane slim ankle pants in black and white.  I absolutely love them!  Banana Republic always has such a great selection of pattern pants for the workplace.  I opted to wear a black turtleneck, but they also look nice with white or red, especially in the winter.

Thanks so much for reading!  I would love to know your thoughts!

  3. I love a good pair of pants that pop, and these fit the bill! Also, I love a good black and white/ivory combo. This outfit is just all-around great!

  4. I have these pants but I'm always at a loss for how to style them. I love the idea of pairing them with a simple black top and fashionable necklace. PS Congrats on the bar - I'm a new admission as well (in Canada). How do you find starting your own practice?! I recently started a blog as well - http://livingtoat.com/

    1. Hi, Theresa! Thanks so much for stopping by! :-) Congrats to you as well! I went to Canada for the first time last year and loved it.

Starting a law practice is a lot of work... My brother and I are law partners. He has been practicing for a little over five years now, so he knows the ropes and is very plugged in with the community. I am very fortunate to have him for advice!

      P.S. I love your blog!
