As much as I love this time of year, it can be a little tricky getting dressed for work each morning- if you live in the South, you know what I'm talking about! The day starts off nicely in the 50's, but then is back to the high 90's in the afternoon. According to my calendar, fall does not officially start until September 23rd, so I am taking full advantage of a few more days of warmer weather and summer clothes before making the final transition to chunky sweaters and lots of layers.
I recently wore this outfit to a business luncheon and received a lot of compliments. A floral skirt paired with a dressy white layering tee is perfect for this unpredictable weather in between seasons. I plan to throw a navy blazer on over my white tee when fall does decide to stay, to look more season-appropriate and polished, but since it is still scorching out, no blazer. By the way, I scored these shoes in mint green at the Cool Springs Banana Republic on major sale a couple of weeks ago and absolutely love them!
How do y'all dress for days with a 40-degree jump in temperature?? Tennessee weather is so unpredictable, and I have a feeling we still have several more weeks of this business of starting at 50 degrees, then ending at 90 (cue Katy Perry's "Hot N Cold").
Thanks so much for stopping by!
