Good morning!  It seems so surreal that we were on our European vacation two months ago!  I did a recap of Venice in this blog post.  We spent a couple of days in Austria and absolutely loved it!!  Austria is so beautiful. The scenery is simply breathtaking. I wish we had more time in Austria.  We went to a cute little town called Lech and rode a ski lift up the Austrian Alps and hiked several trails.  Yes, I wore a dress, haha.  Anyway, we were bound and determined to snap some photos with some Austrian cows and we veered off course and stumbled upon a cow pasture.  It was up a very steep hill (and of course, the grass was wet and muddy), so it is a wonder that neither of us fell and twisted an ankle.  The cow in the above photos loved my brother, but once I got near her, she became very agitated and started stomping her feet... I was afraid we were going to cause a stampede, but luckily, no one got hurt.  Not to mention, since neither of us technically "pet" the cow, we did not get detained at the airport for "petting livestock", because that would have been a disaster if we missed our flight home since they question you about that sort of thing.  After our hike, we had lunch at a cute little restaurant on the Lech strip.  I highly recommend visiting Lech.  You can cover Lech in half a day.

After Lech, we traveled to Innsbruck, Austria.  Innsbruck is so cute and colorful.  We toured a castle, then rode another ski lift to the top of the Alps for the most majestic views of the city.  Then, we walked around and visited a lot of the little shops and stopped for dinner.  I ate the best pizza of my life in Austria- even better than the pizza in Italy!  A friend told me to be sure to try some beer and ice cream in Austria, and we did- it was absolutely fabulous!  Everything in Austria was top-notch, clean and fresh.  I definitely want to go back to Austria some day.  If you have been and have any recommendations, please feel free to email me or leave them in the comments below!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
